Finland’s Resound has cemented his stance as one of the most forward-thinking artists in the scene with a continuous stream of groundbreaking releases on seminal labels like R&S Records, Metalheadz, Exit Records, Dispatch and Renegade Hardware.

His musical journey, already touching its fifth decade, has moved from strength to strength. He got started in the ’80s playing traditional Finnish instruments and performing across the country. The ’90s saw him establishing himself and his label Rebound in the tracker music scene with dozens of releases.

In the early ’00s releases on several drum & bass labels followed and Resound began his career as an international DJ. He is widely regarded as a deliverer of banging hypnotic sets that take you on a journey.

The early 2010s saw him link with Loxy, releasing “Burning Shadows” – an album that went on to inspire and influence a whole new generation of producers. Many more releases followed, propelling the duo forward.

In the past 10 years, Resound has also been doing mastering work. In addition, he has shared his thoughts and insights in his blog, helping thousands of aspiring music creators. He also worked as a resident production expert for Computer Music Magazine.

Currently Resound is working to establish his Rhytual label. Rhytual serves as a platform to present his vision and keep refining his sound.

Rhytual grew out of necessity, says Resound. I had come to a point in my life and career where I wanted to create something even more personal, important and meaningful. To condense my art and focus on what I think is essential.

Resound also performs with the Rhytual live project. It’s raw, real and powerful and speaks to our collective subconscious.

With more music in the pipeline for Rhytual, Over/Shadow, R&S Records, Metalheadz and Dispatch, fans and followers will have plenty to look forward to.
